HIV: You and Me

On March 12, 2019, the program entitled "HIV, You, and Me" was held at the Georgia State Capitol (18 Capitol Square SW CLOB Rm. 510). This event was also being held during the week of the CDC Conference, and had taken place in the presence of many State House, Senate Health and Human Services Committee members. Rep. Park Cannon (District 58) was pleased to have Dr. Stephaun E. Wallace and Dr. Dazon Diallo Dixon, present during the scope of the HIV epidemic taking place nationally and here in Georgia. They also offered recommendations for next steps to help end new HIV cases in the state. It was an exciting event that is coming off of the heels of the passing of HB290!!! 1) to engage, and give suggestions and feedback . 2) to support ending the spread of HIV in our communities. And we're ready to discuss and strategize on solutions with our legislators.
